My focus at GE Lighting was in Market and Shopper Insights, which included work and analysis of the competitive landscape. Naturally this leads to exploring and understanding the technology and IP assets of competitors and key industry players. That’s how I ended up getting connected with the team in Bangalore, India and meeting Preeti even though I was based in Cleveland, OH.

Preeti’s analysis, interpretation of the implications and insights made possible by mapping out the IP of the various companies really complemented and supplemented the body of work on competitive intelligence in the lighting industry. This helped identify gaps and areas of opportunity around which our teams could focus and develop strategies that put us in a position of strength in the market.
